A small, but mighty crew crushed Junior Provincials this weekend! Way to go! 👏

Flatland Swimming’s Performance squad had 5 athletes racing some of Canada’s best, the US Junior Team and several elite US State teams, this weekend, June 4-8, in Vancouver at the Mel Zajac International Swim Meet.

Our three meet rookies (Hazel Clark, Sarah Beare and Cheryle Zhang) all did an amazing job stepping up in prelims and managing their response to a super-charged environment.

Our two meet veterans, Annie Kolman and Galen Zhang, made several finals and swam to multiple personal bests, proving that a little experience goes a long way.

Congratulations, team! We are looking forward to seeing even better performance next year!

Flatland took 15 swimmers out to Calgary to compete at UCSC’s T-Rex Invitational 🦖

Lots of best times, new race strategy development, and laughs were had by swimmers and coaches.

Next up, we make our way to Junior Provincials and then on to ManSask!

Thank you for putting on a fantastic development camp in Regina today! Daniel, Kate, Molly, Norah, and Luca worked hard on their turns with other coaches, had a fun mental performance session with Karissa Johnson, and worked with Tom Hamilton on enhancing their nutrition knowledge. Coach Erika and Coach Jenna had a great time, too!
