Dem blue skies ✨

Those big ol skies in Saskatchewan sure know how to keep me present.

Deep expanding inhales of blue.
Streams of radiant sunlight peeking through the clouds. Autumn air a crisp accent of every exhale.

Feeling the edge of things. Warmth against cool, out there and in here.

Grateful to walk along this worn path, sweet pea leading the way, sky and grass as far as the eye can see. Little Cessna in the distance, grandpa tilting his wings.

Belonging. Connected. Slowing right down.

What a moment. While knowing this too shall pass, I sink in even further. Absorbing every little bit!

Like a photo to vote for your favorite piece, and don't forget to follow Pittsburgh Glass Center! Voting ends at 11:59pm ET on Sunday, September 15.

Every year we ask for art donations for our annual fundraiser. Without the support of these artists, we could not provide access to world-class glass art and artists, excellent education, and state-of-the-art resources that inspire artistic expression. In appreciation, we have created the opportunity for artists who donate to the Art on Fire Auction to receive a 10-day residency at PGC. Three residencies will be awarded:

•Artwork valued at $1,000 and above (selected by jury)
•Artwork valued under $1,000 (selected by jury)
•People's Choice Awards (selected by the public via Facebook)

While comments on the photos in this album are welcome, LIKES are the only official votes on each piece. The piece with the most votes by 11:59pm ET on Sunday, September 15 will be named winner. PGC presents this voting anonymously. Individual artists can share their work in the hopes of gaining more votes, if they so choose. To be counted, all likes must be registered on the original image here in this album, not on shared posts.

✨Sticks and Stones, 2024✨

Last couple weeks to check out my work Sticks and Stones, in the The Get Out Side Gallery, Weyburn SK.

This work is centred around gratitude for both the hurt and beauty one experiences, how those emotions can be used as fuel to achieve and complete goals and my ideas about forgiveness for self and others being an ongoing practice which is exemplified while I have worked with glass.

This work had a one time performative aspect that was only recieved by a few and gratefully captured by the talented ✨📸✨

Happy Graduation ✨

Asher…look at you!! All grown up and about to head into the world. How exciting!!

I am reminded today of how in awe I was of your radiant self as a baby, and what an incredibly kind and thoughtful young man you are and have always been. Your care and time for others has always shone through with that twinkle in your eye. I have continuously felt seen when you are around, getting up to give hugs, sharing popcorn, sticking around to play games. Your ability to set others at ease is noteworthy and inspiring.

And now as you courageously trek across the big blue waters to explore new and exciting lands and people, I am in awe once again of you and so excited to hear about your adventures.

It has been a quiet and beautiful joy to watch you grow into a talented and brave young man. Wherever you go, near or far, I am here rooting for you.

Hosted my first bridal shower & Women’s circle honouring my soon to be sister ✨

We partook in creativity by making flower crowns which were as unique and beautiful as each of us🌷

We brought blessings from the four stages of Womanhood, the Maiden, Mother, Wild Wise Woman, and Crone or Sage. 🌿

We shared our heart, the aches, the wishes and the gratitude 🙏🏼

I am so grateful to share in ceremony with incredibly brave and authentic women ✨
