📣 Red Deer Renegades Evaluation Update

To help make soccer more accessible and convenient for families, we are extending our evaluation period into a second week in the form of open training sessions.

We understand that attending evaluations during the school holidays can be difficult, and we also want to support the wider soccer community by ensuring our sessions do not conflict with other club evaluation events.

⚽ Updated Evaluation Schedule
🔴 Girls U11, U12, U13, U15 & U17/U19 — Aug. 31 & Sept. 2
⚪ Boys U11, U12, U13, U15 & U17/U19 — Sept. 1 & 3

📍 All sessions will take place at Edgar Athletic Park.

These additional sessions give players another opportunity to train with our coaches, showcase their abilities, and be considered for the upcoming season.

🏆 RENEGADES AT PROVINCIALS ❤️🤍

An incredible weekend in Calgary for our Red Deer Renegades, with three teams bringing home medals from the 2026 Alberta Provincial Championships!

🥇 U13 Girls T2 — Provincial Champions
🥇 U19 Girls T2 — Provincial Champions
🥉 U19 Boys T2 — Provincial Bronze Medalists

A huge congratulations to our players, coaches, team staff and families for representing Red Deer with pride throughout the weekend. Reaching Provincials is an accomplishment in itself, and seeing our teams finish on the podium makes it even more special.

Congratulations as well to every Renegades team that qualified for Provincials and competed against some of the best teams in Alberta. We’re proud of the work, commitment and development shown across the club.

📅 2026/27 EVALUATION SCHEDULE

Evaluations are coming up for our U11–U19 boys and girls programs! Check the schedule above for your age group’s designated dates and times.

📍 Location: Edgar Athletic Park
✅ Players must be registered in order to participate in evaluations.

Please make sure you complete your registration prior to attending your scheduled evaluation sessions.

We recognize that in previous years, our evaluation schedule has overlapped with other clubs, placing players and families in the difficult position of having to choose which evaluations to attend. That’s not a situation we want anyone to face. To address this, we’ve moved our evaluations forward by one week to eliminate that conflict entirely.

We also understand that our initial evaluation dates fall during the final week of school holidays, and some players may have existing commitments or travel plans that prevent them from attending. To ensure no player misses their opportunity, we’re extending the evaluation window into a second week with open training sessions throughout. Players who are unavailable during the first week can register for these sessions and still showcase their abilities. An additional registration link for open training access will be made available in the near future.

Our goal is simple: remove barriers, maximize opportunity, and give every player the best possible chance to demonstrate their potential.

Free Sunday Soccer Drop-In at Edgar Athletic Park ⚽️

Looking for a fun, welcoming soccer experience this August? Our free Sunday Soccer Drop-In is open to boys and girls aged 7 to 15, with sessions designed for all ability levels. Whether a player is competitive, non-competitive, or completely new to the game, everyone is welcome! ❤️

Sessions will run on August 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Edgar Athletic Park. Players will be placed into one of three age groups: 7–9, 10–12, or 13–15.

This is a free program, but advance registration is mandatory. Unregistered players cannot take part. Once players arrive, they can check in at the sign-in tent at the entrance to the fields, where attendance will be confirmed against registration.

Participants can stay for as little or as much of the session as they like, up to the full three hours. With parking available, washrooms on site, and some of the best grass fields in Alberta, Edgar Athletic Park is a fantastic setting for players to enjoy the game.

Players should bring a drink (A water fountain is on site) and wear appropriate soccer clothing. No jeans. Proper footwear is required, including cleats or trainers, and shin pads are recommended where possible.

Parents do not need to stay during the session, but they must be present at 4:00 PM for pickup. If a session is cancelled, all registered participants will be emailed at least one hour before the scheduled start time.

🏆 2026 Red Deer July Classic – Final Results 🏆

A week ago we experienced a weekend of incredible soccer! Thank you to every player, coach, referee, volunteer, and family who helped make the 2026 Red Deer July Classic such a memorable tournament.

Congratulations to all of this year’s medalists and champions! 🥇🥈🥉 Your hard work, sportsmanship, and passion were on full display all weekend long.

Please note: The U19 Girls division has not been included in this post. With only three teams entered and the standings showing only one team having played two matches, we felt it was best not to publish incomplete results.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to Red Deer—we can’t wait to welcome you back next year! ❤️⚽
