History was made 👑 🥉

For the first time in program history, the RDP Queens have earned a medal at CCAA Women’s Soccer National Championships after their win today against St. Clair Saints! Though down 1-0 in the first half, the Queens laid it all out on the field in the second half and netted two back-to-back goals, courtesy of Sein Furuyama!

This squad is truly something special. To witness their journey unfold — the way they’ve bonded, battled, and believed in each other — has been a privilege. This team is strong. This team is grit. And this team is love. If you know, you know. 🫶🏻

Congratulations to RDP Queens Soccer, your 2025 CCAA National Bronze Medalists! You have made RDP, Red Deer, and the ACAC so proud. 💚 👑

Tanner Sklaruk got the party started with his first goal of the season on Friday vs. Briercrest — also the Kings’ first of the year. That opening marker lit the fuse for a dominant, high-scoring weekend against the Clippers.

The Kings swept the series with a 4-3 victory on Friday, followed by a 6-4 win on Saturday. 👑

Next stop: ACAC Championships ✅

The RDP Queens have officially punched their ticket to the 2025 ACAC Women’s Soccer Championships, hosted by Lethbridge Polytechnic Kodiaks from October 23-26. Finishing second in the south division with a 7-2 record, your Queens will look to claim the top spot in the ACAC next weekend as they face off against the top 6 teams in the league. GO QUEENS!!! 👑

RDP Athletics is looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join our team!

📍 On-site at Red Deer Polytechnic – Gary W. Harris Canada Games Centre
🗓️ Friday evenings required
🏐🏀 Help film live volleyball and basketball games for ACACTV

The Webcast Operator is part of the Athletics Games Attendant team and is responsible for setting up and operating camera equipment, while helping to ensure the livestream runs smoothly and professionally. This role involves live production, camera operation, and basic troubleshooting

💻 Experience with vMix is an asset, but not required — we’ll train the right person!

🎓 A great opportunity for students or sports fans looking to get behind the scenes.

RDP Athletics is very proud to announce Julianna Chipiuk (Queens Cross Country Running) and Kohen Meckelborg (Kings Cross Country Running) as the Boston Pizza RDP Athletes of the Week.

🏃🏼‍♀️ Chipiuk finished second and helped the RDP Queens Cross Country Running team place second overall at Running Room Grand Prix #2 in Lethbridge.

🏃 Meckelborg wrapped up sixth, helping the Kings Cross Country Running team earn top spot down south.

👑 Athletes of the Week 👑

RDP Athletics is very proud to announce Kaybree Zunti (Queens Rodeo) and Ajdin Sarcevic (Kings Soccer) as the Boston Pizza RDP Athletes of the Week. Zunti earned two top ten results at the Central Alberta College Rodeo Team (CACRT) and RDP Rodeo Shootout.

⚽️ Sarcevic dramatically scored late to tie the Ambrose University Lions in Calgary, earning the Kings a 2-2 draw.

Congratulations to both athletes! 👏
