My name is Bodie Smith I am the instructor at Summit Art studio downtown in Raymond. In my studio I teach my students a lot about drawing the human body, sometimes this is called figure drawing. We usually use photos to draw from when we are drawing people, but I would like to start using real live models. I am looking for both female and male models of different shapes and sizes that are physically fit and are willing to come and model for us for about 1-2 hours every so often. I am looking for multiple people as we will not be wanting to draw the same person every time. Pay for this opportunity will be $40 per hour. Now I am forewarning that some of the models will need to be comfortable posing in front of people in tight clothing. For men, it will be shirtless with shorts. For women, a sports bra and either some leggings or tight fitting shorts. The purpose of not wearing very much clothing is for the students to learn to draw the human form, there needs to be tight fitting clothing and some skin so that the students can see bone and muscle structure. Occasionally we will also be drawing some models with clothing or costume on. For those who are a bit apprehensive to do something like this I will say it is a VERY safe, professional, calm and relaxing atmosphere. You also DO NOT have to be a body builder. It is very quiet and the students (group of 8-12 adults) will be working the whole time, there will be no talking just drawing.
