Yesterday I worked out with a friend in the morning. We got fresh air (like snowy fresh ❄️) had some great laughs and enjoyed watching her son play in his first snowfall.
Later (and in typical YYC weather fashion) all the snow had melted and the sun came out 🌞 I decided to go for a walk, because I LOVE my neighbourhood and was really into this podcast about Tonya Harding.
Both instances I was active, both times it was for me. Not in hopes that I would burn more calories or finally get closer to an ideal others have decided on.
However movement has not always been that way for me. It used to be about punishment or making up for past binges. It used to be about the goal of being skinnier, smaller. Shrinking myself to meet a goal I’d never achieve.
If your body weight NEVER changed again, would you still do the type of workouts, intensity of workouts or spend the same kind of money/ time?
It’s okay to say yes. Or to say no. Your body and how it moves is for YOU. 💛
