She’s almost a week old. Born May27, 2026 at 0530hrs. 86lbs., 8.2 HH, near Radisson, Sk., CANADA.
Mum, NNP Augustina KFKRON 529 X NNP Ethan’s Princess Royal (Royce) 848.
Auggy is a great Mum, very talkative and nurturing.
As we had extreme heat and high winds, I put them in the barn.
It never ceases to amaze me to witness birth, how quick a foal is up and nursing.
This little gal will be wanting a forever home once weaned.

What an amazing gift of gratitude I am feeling.
Earlier today I sent an email to the Newfoundland Pony Society ( NPS ) Board emails I have been using for years.
I submitted Pony names to be approved by the NPS Board.
Member at large CREWE and Registrar POWER-KEAN both, individually, responded with their approval. BIG THANK YOU.
Great response time.
Now to hear from the rest of the Board for name approval.
Once I receive approval, I will have to pick a name.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you amazing ladies who get up every morning to feed your Newfoundland Ponies, no matter what the weather is, how you feel….

I cannot forget all the people who worked hard to bring our beloved Pony recognition.

To all you who have hung up your bridle, thank you for your years of dedication to the Pony, the Pony is always in your heart, partnof your great memories.

The one consistent thing I know, from over 3 decades of involvement, my herd of Newfoundland Ponies still give me countless JOY.

I have had many tears of gratitude today when I received the attached information from Mr. HARRIS, the President of the Newfoundland Pony Society ( NPS ).

Why tears? 1995NOV, I attended in person, in Newfoundland ( I had my newborn baby with me ), a NPS Board meeting, to do a presentation on DNA testing, Artificial Inseminatiin, etc. I had been allocated an hour. I sat in a freezing room most of the day. They must have forgotten about me as they were about to leave & maybe then just remembered me. I was given 5 minutes. Yes I provided them all documents.

When I was elected to the NPS Board, I obtained permission from the Canadian Horse to share their reproductive policy, forms and change to Newfoundland Pony. I provided this numerous tines over the years via emails, Canada Post.

I have had semen drawn & stored from some of my Newfoundland Pony studs using the ‘DRAFT’ NPS form. I emailed, mailed via Canada Post, texted to them. Vet College also provided their forms.

I have also had foals as a result of Artificial Insemination (AI), done embryo transplants.
Again, forms provided.

So, I have tears of gratitude that almost 31 years later, NPS has began to acknowledge the value of science, for genetic diversity, stallion safety.
Even as I write this, I am very emotional.

A tidbit, Mr. John SCANLAN, the vice president of NPS, many years ago provided free semen from one of his studs, to a person in AB. Possibly, being from across the Pond, he was familiar with the value and success of AI.

Having grown up in Nova Scotia, AI was a successful practice with the standardbred since the 50s.

I also lived across the Pond, where this was used.

I grew up in a world of science; it has never left me.

Today is a great day.

NPS has all the documents (DNA reports, registration applications, money in their account & my correspondence) to hopefully, start having my foals acknowledged.

Big THANK YOU to all who have supported this invaluable step forward to help save the Newfoundland Pony, through genetic diversity.

I still have semen available of my studs if anyone is interested.

Good day all you dedicated Newfoundland Pony people.
I have just read a document that confirms the email for the Newfoundland Pony Society President is [email protected].
It also had the registrar's email as [email protected].
They are the same emails I have been sending messages to for years, with nil response.
Today is a new day, hopefully, they will choose to answer my queries.
Feel free to share so people do not give up hope when they have not heard back from NPS Board.

It is very cool here with a raw wind, winter coat still on.
We have a wildfire not far from us, NE of the next community.
Radisson could have been wiped out Sunday from a fire; thanks to our amazing volunteer firefighters from different community, no homes, life loss. They are unsung heroes, like all you Newfoundland Pony breeders, owners, promotoers, supporters & dreamers of owning some.

April 2nd I did a post asking if the contact information to the Newfoundland Pony Society (NPS) is correct?

As I do not receive a response to my emails, possibly as my membership was denied 2024MAY3rd, I am thinking their emails must have changed and/or they do not communicate with non members?

One Board Member did respond to my APRIL2nd post, on another topic, not advising if the contact information to NPS is correct, functions.

I have also sent letters, regular post (they have not been returned) & registered (they have been returned) to Box 8132 St. John's.
When I could access the Newfoundland Pony website, I have sent messages via CONTACT US, nil response.

It is impossible to dialogue with NPS regarding registration, etc., when email, Canada Post, text, voicemail, CONTACT US (NPS website) does not provide a response.

I need your help, the Pony needs your help.

If any of you have a relationship with a NPS Board Member, please share my post, so NPS can choose to communicate with this long time breeder of Newfoundland Ponies.

Good evening all you great Newfoundland Pony people. I am hoping someone will assist me.

I am on my third year of sending emails to the Newfoundland Pony Society (NPS) requesting their semen collection, artificial insemination (AI), embryo transfer (ET) forms and any related documents, so I can breed mares and store semen from some of my studs.

I have already cancelled semen collection appointments for this year.

As I never receive a response to my emails, possibly as my membership was denied 2024MAY3rd, I am thinking their emails must have changed and/or they do not communicate with non members.
