Quispamsis is adding new trails to the Millennium Cycle Bike Park!

Working closely with our partners, Millennium Cycle & Sport, four additional trails will open this summer.

And we’ve named the new trails with help from schools in our community!

We had over 200 submissions from Quispamsis students in our “Name A Trail” contest earlier this year. The winning entries were chosen by Millennium Cycle & Sport:

Buzle Bug Trail – Evan Mursal, Grade 5, Lakefield Elementary School
Fern-tastic Trail – Maggie Kindred, Grade 6, Quispamsis Middle School
Tree-mendous Trail – Wynter Hamming, Grade 6, Quispamsis Middle School
Vallyview Trail – Emily Brown, Grade 6, Quispamsis Middle School

The winners each received a Millennium Cycle & Sport gift card and promotional items from the town of Quispamsis.

The new trail names will be added to the bike park’s map.

Thank you to everyone who participated in this contest! We hope you get a chance to enjoy the Millennium Cycle Bike Park trails this season!

Quispamsis will be implementing grub control operations this week on three municipal fields.

❗️ADVISORY❗️

Randy Jones Way, the roadway at the qplex, will be closed until 5 p.m. Wednesday while staff repaint the rainbow crosswalk near the covered bridge.

The upper parking lot will be accessible from Recreation Centre Road, but pylons will be in place blocking motorists at the start of Randy Jones Way.

Pylons will also be in place on Randy Jones Way at the South parking lot.

⛸️ The indoor walking track is closed through Sunday, May 10, and all public skating is cancelled through Monday, May 11, due to the dance competition being held at the qplex.

We would like to welcome Electric Beat Dance Productions to the qplex for their competition this weekend!

This is the largest stage setup we have ever had at the qplex!

Welcome dancers, competitors, coaches and families!

The public is welcome to attend. Admission is FREE!

Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department Inc. will be using the South parking lot at the qplex for driver training today (Wednesday, May 6) until approximately 4 p.m.

Pickleball court and community garden users will still have access to their respective activities.
