Blair has so far had a complicated relationship with the weather so far. Winds, rain, temperature, it's all a part of the experience but it's slowed down her progress. Yesterday was a day of recovery though and all seems well. The fire that was originally out of control is now under control and poses no threat to her. Ju4.1: re fire noted (823'580) Strong wind inface. 2hours for 5km, made camp on small island. Lots of hot liquids to stay warm. i lied to myself that it was a smart idea to paddle today. Staight into a head wind. Rain whipping my face. made 5km b4 giving in.
Ju5.1:made better progress today. Grass river is wide & winding thru the reeds, and deep enughfor motor boats to pass on our way to Elbow L.
July 6th

Ju8.1: woke up to an overcast sky and headache. The rain to come is no joke. Glad to stay put. Hope for better tommorrow. Now time 2 read.
