Check out these rock-stars! 🥌✨️

The lovely folks at Curl BC dug through their records and we now have a wall of fame up on our website to show off the teams that have accomplished an 8-ender during league games at the club!

Don't see your 8-Ender here? Send us your photo and team member names and we'll add it to the page!

If you win an 8-Ender any time this year, be sure to take a photo and submit your info to Curl BC so that your team can get the coveted 8-Ender pins!

The Quesnel Curling Club's annual Ice Breaker Bonspiel is happening October 24 & 25, and we hope you'll join us for a weekend of curling, laughter, and friendship!

Get yourself registered online (https://www.quesnelcurlingclub.com/quesnel-curling-club-bonspiel-registration/) or at the club to be part of this fun event.

The Ice Breaker is a great opportunity to bring our curling community together, build camaraderie throughout the club, reconnect with familiar faces, and make some new friends along the way.

Sign up as an individual! Teams will be put together for the event, giving everyone a chance to curl with different members and enjoy some friendly competition. Whether you're a seasoned curler or relatively new to the sport, everyone is welcome!

Game times will be determined soon.

Happening this week - Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! We can't wait to see lots of new faces, and hopefully many familiar faces there! Check out the event details for more information on what to expect.

We're excited to announce that there are early-season Learn To Curl Clinics happening soon!

Clinics will be taught by experienced curlers from the club and will be accessible for all levels of curlers. Whether you've never stepped foot on the ice before, or just want a refresh, you're welcome to come on down to participate!

Three clinics will be offered, September 28, September 30, and October 2, each from 6:00-8:00 pm. You don't have to attend them all, but you certainly can! You're sure to learn more tips and techniques every time you're on the ice.

$10 per person, per clinic, no registration required. All the tools you need to get started will be provided (brooms, grippers, sliders, delivery aids). Just come dressed warmly and with a clean pair of shoes - preferably a pair with some traction on them.

If you're new to curling and end up falling in love with the sport, any of the fees you've paid for the Learn to Curl Clinics this year will be deducted from your league fees, if you chose to join a league this year!

The ice is almost done! Who's ready for curling season to start? 🙋‍♀️

It's a multi-day process to get the ice ready for the season and we're onto the final floods. We start off with a bare cement floor and then add the layers of ice, white paint, logos, and more ice until it's thick enough for the season. (OK, that's a really simplified version of how curling ice is made)

Thanks to our ice maker, Dave, and all the awesome volunteers that helped over the last couple of weeks to get it ready!

We're so excited for you all to join us for the Sticks and Stones spiel soon, as well as our upcoming Learn to Curl clinics to be some of the first on the new ice, and to use our newly refinished rocks. It's going to be an amazing season!

Check out our website for more info on upcoming events and leagues!

Happy Curling 🥌
