Over the past few weeks, this women’s self-defense series became so much more than learning techniques.
It became a space for growth, connection, courage, laughter, vulnerability, and healing. 🤍✨️
Teaching this class has been one of the greatest honors of my journey in jiu-jitsu. Watching women walk into the room unsure of themselves, and slowly begin to move with more confidence, strength, and trust in their bodies… there truly are no words for it.
What surprised me most was how much healing happened for me too. 🌹
Every class reminded me why safe spaces matter. Why community matters. Why women empowering women matters.
Self-defense is never just about fighting.
It is about remembering your voice. Your instincts. Your right to take up space. Your ability to protect your peace, your body, and each other.
I am so deeply grateful to every woman who showed up, supported one another, and trusted me to guide this experience. The energy in that room each week was powerful, genuine, and something I will carry with me for a very long time.
This may be the end of the series, but it is only the beginning of what all of you are capable of. 🖤⚔️🪽

Keep walking with confidence.
And never forget how strong you truly are.

After months of recovery from a major injury and surgery, this week marks my first time back on the mats, both drilling and teaching. It’s been 4 months post-op, and honestly, this moment feels surreal. 🤍

The road ahead is still long, and I know there will be ups and downs, but I couldn’t be more grateful to return to the art and community that have shaped so much of who I am. JiuJitsu has always been about resilience, patience, and adaptation, and this chapter of recovery has reminded me of those lessons more than ever. 🧬🪽✨️

I’m excited to keep rebuilding, to share the journey with my teammates and students, and to honor this incredible opportunity to step back into my role on the mats. 🥋

Here’s to healing, growth, and the next roll. 🖤⚔️🥂
