Around the ranch we often get caught up in all of the projects that are coming up, but today I would like to look back on all that we've done here and say thank you to everyone who has supported our facility and our dreams. Our latest completion was a big one, and it wouldn't have been possible without the support of so many great people. Thank you all for being a part of the New Hope Ranch family.

New Hope Ranch would like to welcome you to our annual WECAN licensed Summer Frolic Working Equitation horse show being held at the ranch June 25-29th, 2026. The event begins with a one day Working Equitation clinic with Dee Lyke, followed by 3 days of competition. Friday will be Dressage followed by a competitor social, Saturday will be EOH followed by a Speed Jackpot that is open to anyone. The Show wraps up on Sunday with the Speed and Cattle trials. There are cash prizes for all of the winners. Entries are due June 15th. The judge for the show is Melanie Houston from Victoria, BC. As we prepare to withstand one of the worst wind storms of the year, I would like to reflect and thank everyone for a wonderful show this past weekend. The weather was perfect, the DQ'S were entertaining, and comradery was everywhere. Thank you all for making it as wonderful as each of you. With some exciting changes happening at the arena this week, it's time to look forward to what the rest of the 2026 Working Equitation season holds.
June 25-28th will be our NHR Summer Frolic with judge Melanie Houston. This show will include all four phases- Dressage, EOH, Speed, and Cattle!
August 26th - 30th NHR Fall Frolic, with NEWLY ANNOUNCED WAWE judge Doreen Atkinson. This show will also include all four phases, as well as two clinic days.
Our licensed Show season will wrap up Oct 3/4th as New Hope Ranch will be the host facility for the very first Provincial Working Equitation Show!

It looks like show season out there! Well, if you use your imagination it does. Believe it and it will be, so with that in mind we will be hosting an Open Protocol Show on Sunday June 14th, with Tammy Mooney as our judge/ clinician. This will be an opportunity to try new classes, practice your show ring skills, and receive some tips and feedback from one of the most well rounded judges in the province. Cost for the day is $80, you can enter as many classes as you like. Registration coming soon!

Get ready because things are warming up and its going to get busy soon! We are excited to be opening up registration for our first Working Equitation event of the year. Our Mother's Day clinic and schooling show will be held May 9/10th. May 9th will be a one day clinic with Dee Lyke and May 10th will be a one day schooling show offering three phases of Working Equitation Dressage/EOH/Speed. Participants will be eligible for year end awards and we have special youth pricing offered for this event. Come join us for a fun and educational weekend near Qu'Appelle, SK. We had so much fun at our Winter Speed Series we want to make sure the fun continues in April so we are hosting a Working Equtiation Play Day on April 18th from 12-4pm. Cost is $10, anyone is welcome, this is great way to learn about the obstacles, brush up on rules and hang out with other Working Equitation enthusiasts. We will have most of the obstacles offered available to try that day.

It doesn't feel like summer right now, but we are chomping at the bit to see this snow disappear and let the summer activities roll! To encourage the seasons to change, we are launching our registration for our youth camps this year. You read that right, it says CAMPS - we are offering two camps this year, the first will be July 27th-31st for experienced riders ages 10-15 years, and our junior camp will run August 4th-7th for campers aged 7-10 years and no previous horse experience is necessary.
