A FREE 8-week group for kids ages 8–12 who experience mild-to-moderate anxiety, stress, worry, or challenges with emotional regulation.

What to expect:
An information session before the program begins
8 weeks of 2-hour group sessions
Mental wellness activities
Physical literacy activities
Fun, supportive opportunities to build new skills

By the end of the program, participants will have:
More tools to support their mental wellness
A greater enjoyment of physical activity
A better understanding of how physical and mental health are connected

Growing Mindfully helps kids build skills, confidence, and healthy habits—while having fun along the way!

Attention Prince George Family Y members, participants, child care families, and Camp Kanannaq camper families.

Please note that there will be city work taking place on Del Laverdure Way, at the entrance normally used to come into the facility parking lot. This work will commence on August 24th and take approximately 3 weeks to complete.

During this period, please access Del Laverdure Way at the point marked on the map, beside the Fire Hall. A temporary access road will follow the marked route to our facility parking lots. Please obey all signage and directions provided by the city.

If you have been evacuated because of the wildfires, YMCA BC is offering free drop-in access at all our Health, Fitness and Aquatics centres during our regular operating hours.

Whether you need a place to shower, a welcoming space for your family to move and play, or simply somewhere to recharge together, you are welcome here. No membership required.
