🍂 Fall is definitely here and it’s a good time to think about your cattle’s vaccines. 🐄

Between getting the last of the work done, bringing the cattle in and preg-checked, getting ready for winter; vaccinations can be easy to forget.

Fall is a good opportunity to get your herd caught up and make a plan for the months ahead.

Whether it’s calves, replacement heifers, cows or bulls, your vaccination program should fit your herd, your management and your risks. It's not too soon to be thinking about SCOUR PREVENTION!

A little time spent on herd health now can save a lot of headaches later.

Mostly about hay, and why dinner was apparently 4 minutes late. 😂

There is something extraordinary about watching an artist bring a horse to life one brushstroke at a time.

Standing alone in a sunlit studio, surrounded by paint, brushes and the evidence of countless hours of work, the artist is dwarfed by the enormous horse gradually emerging from the wall.

Perhaps that's fitting.

Anyone who has spent time around horses knows how difficult it is to capture what makes them so special. You can paint the shape of the head, the curve of the neck and every strand of the mane, but somehow you also have to capture the character behind the eyes.

That's where art becomes more than simply reproducing what we see.

Throughout history, horses have inspired painters, sculptors and photographers because they combine so many qualities in one animal — strength and sensitivity, power and elegance, independence and an extraordinary willingness to trust.

Creating something on this scale requires patience too. There are no shortcuts when a canvas becomes an entire wall. Every detail is built gradually until, eventually, the artist can stand back and see the horse that previously existed only in their imagination.

And perhaps that's the most beautiful part of creating art.
