I have not posted in a long time but something needs to be said, I’m tired of the bu****it the public gets sold on.

“The Real Story Behind the Southern Resident Killer Whales”
Starting June 1, boaters must stay 1,000 metres from Southern Resident orcas — up from 400 metres.
For 127 years, Victoria pumped raw sewage directly into their main feeding grounds.
For roughly 60 years, the military and shipyards dumped PCBs into Esquimalt Harbour and Constance Cove.
Between 1960 and 1973, about 45 Southern Residents were captured and sold to marine parks, with another 10–13 dying in the process — roughly 40% of the population.
These whales are now full of bioaccumulation — toxins like PCBs and PPCPs that build up in their bodies over decades and pass from mothers to calves through milk.
The new rules focus heavily on small boats and anglers, yet large ships, cruise ships, ferries, military activity, and underwater blasting create far more underwater noise and disturbance.
After 50 years on the water, I believe these beautiful animals deserve the full truth. The governments and agencies that caused much of the damage should take responsibility, not just blame recreational boaters and fishermen.
