🎣 2026 Coho Update – Area 27 / Quatsino Sound

Good news for North Vancouver Island anglers: Coho retention opportunities begin June 1, 2026 in Area 27 – Quatsino Sound, with important subarea-specific rules and exceptions.

Based on the DFO notice FN0523, Area 27 allows 2 Coho per day from June 1 to December 31, 2026, with 1 unmarked (wild) Coho permitted, except where specific subarea restrictions or closures apply.
