Sunday afternoon race recap, Negatory.
The nerves were high. Not for myself, but very anxious that all the changes Ive made to the car were going to take a proven car and make it worse.
We got through technical inspection fairly easily and headed out on the track for my hot laps. It's only 2 or 3 laps but man, it felt like an old shoe. I didnt get the opportunity to really open it up due to the traffic on the track, but it was enough to make me excited for a night of racing to see what it could really do. All the excitement quickly disappeared after I pulled off the track and heard "you're smoking 96, shut it down, we'll come get you" over my radio. Unable to diagnose or fix the issue at the track, I decided to not make a bad situation worse and parked it for the night. I'll dive into it in the coming days, hopefully its better than I suspect. We'll be back, and we'll be fast. I just dont know when at the moment.
Thanks to my enablers who support this rollercoaster of emotions. Please show them some love.
