Port Hood Triathlon Port Hood Triathlon The Port Hood Triathlon takes place in a beautiful little community, with breathtaking scenery on every leg of the race.

Our swim is an ocean, open water swim with temperatures reaching close to 18-20 degrees. Our bike and run courses have a couple of hills, but for the most part are fairly flat and fast. Make this your race to PR! Course maps will be emailed out later in July, as well as posted on our social media! This event is sanctioned by Triathlon Nova Scotia. ership card must be presented upon registration. If you are not a member of TNS, a one-day membership fee MUST be purchased on race site from TNS, at a cost of $20.00. This provides you with insurance coverage for the event. Alternatively, participants can pay annual TNS membership for $40 which will provide insurance for all events within the province in 2022. Annual membership may be obtained at Atlantic Chip under Registration/Memberships.

**2027 is going to be a celebration you won’t want to miss! If you have participated in the past, please share!**

For **35 years**, athletes have come to Port Hood to swim, bike and run along one of the most beautiful courses in Atlantic Canada.

🏆 **The Port Hood Triathlon is the longest continuously running triathlon in Atlantic Canada — and we’re celebrating 35 years in 2027!**

We want to make this anniversary one to remember, and we’re inviting **athletes, families and supporters from across Canada** to come experience Port Hood, Cape Breton and celebrate this incredible milestone with us.

As we wrap up another amazing Port Hood Triathlon weekend, the Port Hood Triathlon Committee would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the 2026 event such a success!

A special thank you to our wonderful volunteers, the dedicated people of the Port Hood & Area Fire Department, the Get Active team, everyone working behind the scenes, and, of course, all those who participated in our events.
