Carl Sorensen of ScubaBC helped popularize a highly effective underwater storytelling technique where the screen is divided into multiple horizontal depth zones, allowing viewers to see different layers of the same dive site simultaneously. By showcasing shallow, mid-depth, and deep environments at the same time, the audience instantly understands how marine life, colour, light, and terrain change with depth. The format turns a single dive into a visual cross-section of the underwater ecosystem and has since been widely adopted by many modern underwater content creators

🚁⚓ Great day on the water with the SAR Techs from 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron aboard Good Vibrations off Hornby Island.

UB Diving was proud to support another day of search and rescue training, working alongside some of Canada’s most capable rescue professionals. These exercises help keep skills sharp and ensure crews are ready to respond when people need them most.

The waters around Vancouver Island can be beautiful, but they can also be unforgiving. Regular training like this is what allows SAR teams to operate safely and effectively in challenging conditions.

A huge thank you to the SAR Techs and aircrew of 442 Squadron for their dedication and service. We’re always honoured to play a small role in helping support the training that keeps our coast safer.
