Had a great couple days celebrating my second youngest brother, Kaeden, for graduating from the University of Manitoba.
I always knew from a very young age that Kaeden was different.
As a young boy, he would read books about wars, airplanes, and military equipment, and he would be able to tell you any fact that you wanted to know about anything in the books that he read.
But Kaeden was labeled a problem child early on in school, barely passed high school and was written off by many teachers because he was bored, couldn’t sit still, and his learning style didn’t fit the mold of the education system.
When he decided to go to university, he knew that he was going to have to work for it; so he spent countless hours reading and studying, worked extremely hard, and thrived in an environment where he could create his own structure.
He made the Dean’s List multiple times, was awarded a number of scholarships, grants, and research projects, and graduated with a very high GPA.
Now he is off to the University of Calgary in the fall to take his Education Degree to become a teacher to help students like him and show them what is possible when you set your mind to things.
DO NOT let the world tell you who you should be or the mold you need to fit into.
Be yourself, work hard, lead with good intentions, do good to others, and you will be able to do anything you set your mind to and create any life for yourself that you want.
Kaed, we are extremely proud of you and love you lots 👊🏼❤️
