Congratulations to Tyson Leies on being named the GM and VP of Business Business Development for the Victoria Sr. B Shamrocks Lacrosse Club.
The Victoria Sr. B Shamrocks are honoured and excited to announce that CLA Hall of Fame player Tyson Leies has agreed to be our General Manager & VP of Business Development.
Tyson played his minor lacrosse in Dunnville, Ontario and his Junior A lacrosse for the St. Catharines Athletics (1986-1988, & 1990) and the Esquimalt Legion (1989); winning a Minto Cup in 1990 before moving west to Victoria to begin his Sr. A career in 1991.
In 13 seasons with the Victoria Sr. A Shamrock’s; Tyson was selected as an All-Star 5 consecutive seasons taking the WLA MVP honours in 1996.
Tyson played in six Mann Cups (1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2003) with the Victoria Sr. A Shamrocks, winning 3 times. His playing career spanned (13 seasons) and in 336 WLA regular seasons and playoff games, Tyson scored 422 goals and 442 assists for 871 points with 1021 penalty minutes.
He played 6 seasons in the National Lacrosse League (1994 Buffalo Bandits, 1997-1998 New York Saints, 2002 Vancouver Ravens, and 2003-2004 for the Calgary Roughnecks) winning the NLL Championship with the Roughnecks in 2004 before retiring.
