Another one in the books 🏃‍♀️

This morning was too beautiful. Really grateful for everybody who shows up and makes this event what it is. Such great vibes out there

One thing I kept telling myself today was “If you’re not having fun on race day then you’re doing this all wrong”

Doesn’t mean fun and pain can’t coincide 🫠 my chip time was about 10 minutes slower than last year but I was undertrained and I truly did the best I could today so it’s a WIN for me baby

Much respect to every single person running 8km 21.1km & 42.2 🙌 seriously, I think social media has made us devalue just how impressive that is

Until next year (maybe)

A few simples tips if you’re struggling to stay consistent and want to break the cycle 🫶

1. Set realistic parameters

If you’re going to the gym zero days right now maybe don’t try jumping into 5-6 days a week. Start with 2 or 3 and build from there

2. Treat your “goals” like appointments with yourself

If you’re going to start going to the gym a couple times a week, schedule it in like you would with any other appointment. Same goes with setting aside time to meal prep, or going for walks to get your steps in. Failing to plan to planning to fail

3. Let go of the all of nothing mindset

If you miss one workout, or eat an entire box of Oreos… don’t beat yourself up, just move right along. Often we’re just looking for an excuse give up but setbacks are just a part of the process. Also remember a 20 minute workout, or simply cutting out one little thing like sugar in your coffee is better than nothing at all (highly recommend reading “The Compound Effect” if you haven’t already)

Mindset is everything. Some of us are up against more resistance than others but there are always going to be things in our power to improve our current circumstances. Let that empower you!!

5 years ago around this time I was still working a corporate job that I just knew deep down was not my purpose

I was very fortunate to have that job and I would’ve been set for life, but I had a passion inside of me that I couldn’t ignore

My passion was and is to be immersed in health and fitness and to help people move and feel better for life

I took a pretty big risk at the time, not knowing how this career would pan out and was advised by many not to take that jump

But looking back I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s worked out even better than I could’ve imagined, and I’m only getting started

If you can, just go for it

Whatever that thing is for you

We get one life, and I’m so grateful for this one 🫶

Happy International Women’s Day 💖💖💖

I’m grateful to have so many strong, beautiful & powerful women in my life who inspire me on a daily basis

When I think of true femininity I think of resilience

Women really do it all 🥹

Happy Monday 🫶

My favourite question to ask myself at the start of each week is “What am I going to do differently this week than last?”

Unless I’m 100% content with where I’m at (which hopefully I never will be) I really believe this is an important ongoing evaluation

It’s soooo cliche but nothing changes if nothing changes

If you’re on the “I’ll start next week” cycle, you’re certainly not alone. But I encourage you ask yourself that simple question and follow through this time 🙏🏽 it just takes one small change at a time

just keeping it simple over here 😌
