The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are pleased to announce the return of 2008 born defenceman, Wassim Rabbath for the 2026-27 season.

“Wassim is a big, strong, young man and has already shown that he can play against some very good players.” said Head Coach and GM Joe Martin.

The imposing 6’4, 207 lb rearguard is committed to play NCAA hockey with Dartmouth College.

Bulldogs Power Past Capitals 5-1, In Exhibition Play.

Andrea Meunier struck twice to lead the Alberni Valley Bulldogs to a 5-1 victory over the visiting Cowichan Valley Capitals Tuesday night at the Multiplex.

The Bulldogs held period leads of 1-0, and 3-1 before adding the only two in the third frame. Singles came from Eric Lund, Bodgan Rogushkin and Eduard Mishikov, while Maksims Sapperins added a pair of assists.

The Capitals responded with a tally from Roan Burgess.

Alberni Valley’s power play was key, going 3 for 3, while shutting down Cowichan’s only man advantage.

Up next, Alberni Valley will host Victoria in Exhibition action Friday at 7pm.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are proud to announce veteran broadcaster Marlon Martens as our new Play-by-Play voice on 93.3 The Peak!

Stepping into the booth after the unexpected loss of our legendary and beloved "Voice of the Bulldogs," Evan Hammond, is an impossible task. However, Marlon steps into this role with profound humility, over 17 seasons of Junior hockey experience, and a deep respect for "Hammer’s" incredible legacy and our tight-knit community.

"My goal isn’t to replace a legend, but to honour his legacy by bringing passion, dedication, and integrity to every broadcast," says Martens.

You can already catch Marlon on the radio weekdays from 2-6 PM hosting the afternoon show on The Peak, where he will also be calling every single home and away game this season.

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs concluded their 25th annual Training Camp by holding their Intra-Squad game, Sunday afternoon at the Multiplex.

Forward Eduard Mishikov led the way offensively, scoring a hat trick to lead his Team Black to an 8-2 victory over Team White, in a fiercely combative match up.

Up next, the team prepares for their first Exhibition game, at home on Tuesday evening against Cowichan at 7pm.

Pre-season game tickets for Adults are $10, and Youth $5. Local Youth are Free with an Adult admission.

Three days of intense competition during the Alberni Valley Bulldog’s 25th Training Camp will culminate with the Team White vs Team Black match up.

Bulldogs fans are invited to attend all on-ice camp sessions at no charge.
