Calorie counting works like magic when you do track decently well.
You begin to understand how many calories is in what and you can build your own meal plans from within. You start to see what fits and what doesn't. You can start to see how you don't have to sacrifice foods you love to continue to get to your goal.
Of course it takes time to learn and get into it but that control over your lifestyle is empowering and you don't beat yourself up after having a so called "bad food"
Once you're into it, it's second nature. Everything is already in the system and it gets progressively easier.
