Every place has a story.
The little tribe that could….
Once upon a time two dynamic lululemon ambassadors (the princesses) teamed up to provide a warm, welcoming and encouraging workout space for their tribes to thrive. They named their little studio Santé KOR (the palace), whose very name reflected just how important it was for the princesses to bring their core philosophies, core values and more importantly had their core people.
The merging of the two tribes was seamless and easy, magical even, and they coexisted happily side by side for many years.
Alas, with the ebb and flow of the changes life brings, all good things must come to an end. Although quite happy at the palace, one of the princesses was longing for new adventures and with a heavy heart decided to venture out and explore the land. Both princesses were sad but the partnership turned into beautiful friendship, will remain for life.
And then there was one, one princess and her tribe living at the palace and life was good… for a time.
But then darkness came upon the land and the princess and her tribe was forced to flee the palace to the safety of their homes.
The palace stood empty for many months but the princess kept her tribe healthy and fit through the computer screen with SAQ bags filled with wine bottles, containers of laundry detergent, windshield washer fluid, bags of flour, chairs and towels.
As with many in the land, her tribe suffered during the darkness and there was much loss, loss of jobs, loss of stability, security and even worse, the loss of loved ones. Yet in spite of their struggles the little tribe remained loyal to the princess and showed up on their computer screens week after week, month after month, in cramped spaces, kitchens, living rooms and basements.
As the darkness continued the princess became afraid that she would not be able to reopen the palace. The tribe, although small in numbers but fierce in loyalty and determination rallied around the princess and gave her support, encouragement and love…and there was light!
As the light shone in, the darkness started to recede, slowly, reluctantly but always threatening to return. With the new light the princess and her long time prince returned and redesigned the entire palace to make it safe for her tribe to return.
Today June 23rd, 2020 the first of the tribe returned to the palace. Some will return, some will stay home for now but they will remain as always…together. The princess will continue to keep both the people in her palace and those at home fit and healthy.
After a very successful first class back and after the last of the tribe was gone and the equipment was sparkly clean and sanitized, the tired little princess, for the first time since February 13th went to get her haircut.
And all was well and good in the land!
The End
They are a humble little tribe and will not be happy to be called out, but it is important to acknowledge that without the support of these outstanding human beings there would have been no palace to return to. I absolutely adore you and am more grateful to you than I will ever be able to express.
