Welcome to RPM Hockey Company Ltd and the Pacific Rim Hockey Academy Canada's largest and most successful year round Instructional hockey companies. In 2004 the Pacific Rim Hockey Academy was launched working hand in hand with the public school system establishing integrated hockey academies inside the normal school time table helping young people with their pursuit of academic and hockey excellence. At RPM & Pacific Rim we don’t pigeon hole players we believe each player is an individual with an individual goal. For that reason we offer parents and players a diversified service allowing you to select instructional programs and academic environments that will best suit your needs. Word of mouth and referrals continue to be our largest form of Marketing! We provide a quality program that players enjoy and come back to year after year. The secret to our longevity? RPM masterfully takes those skills and breaks them down into easy to learn fundamentals that help the player to understand how to execute the skills correctly. It takes years of experience coupled with sound communication skills and a genuine interest in working with young people to obtain the success we have on a day to day basis. We are a technical based instructional company working with entry level, average and elite level players. We get the results parents and players expect and we have been doing so for over 44 years! We're hiring Dryland Instructors!📣
This role is a great fit for self-employed coaches and trainers looking to fill out their schedule with consistent, predictable hours or for post-secondary students (Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Sport Science) wanting part-time work that doesn't eat into evenings or weekends. Hours are set well in advance each term, so you can build your week around it.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead off-ice/dryland sessions for hockey academy athletes (ages 13-17)
- Design sport-specific strength, conditioning, and mobility programming for groups of 20-30
- Ensure safe technique, manage equipment, and adapt sessions to varying athlete needs
- Optional: pick up extra hours assisting with classroom sessions and special events
Requirements:
- Minimum: BCRPA Group Fitness Instructor certification (or equivalent)
- Asset: Education or coursework in Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, or related field
- Asset: Experience training athletes, particularly hockey players
- Hockey background a plus - we're always looking to hire more on-ice coaches if interested
Pay is negotiable based on experience/education
