Tigers vs Spartans (Sep 21). This game was a goal show of #10 on both teams.
Tigers goal scorer was Kyle de Leeuw (with Ian Bemister being the assistant on all goals plus adding one goal himself).
Spartans had their strength in Evan Seminerio (his goals were assisted by Kevin Mandel and Jarron Craig).
In the end it was a one goal game. Spartans had 5 minutes to tie but none of their players could get the puck behind Levi Sadler (TIG). Tigers ended up taking 2 points for a 4-3 win.

Titans and Phantoms met for another fun game (Sep 20).
Titans took a 3 goal lead after the first period. Phantoms scoring happened only within one minute, between 5 minutes to 4 minutes left - in both second and third periods.
John Wells (PHA) stood between the pipes for his first ever league game and he did great!
Scott Emsley (TIT) helped his team with a hattrick, third goal being from power play, sending Mitch Barnert (PHA) back on the ice only after 3 seconds in the penalty box.
Final score 7-3 for the Titans.

Final game between Titans and Phantoms (Sep 11).
It looked like a finished game after the second period since Phantoms were up 5-0. But it wouldn’t be the Titans to give up so easily.
Phantoms might have already been thinking about holding the trophy and slowed down. While Titans were determined to make a come back. They covered James Baylis (PHA) with shots. De En De (TIT) was rushing the puck across the rink to help his teammates getting into the offensive zone. Titans scored all their goals in the third period. Phantoms added two more goals from the stick of Adam Webster and could enjoy celebrating their 7-5 victory.

Spiders didn’t wait for anything and started scoring very shortly after the first whistle in their game against Knights (Sep 11).
Knights got caught off guard and before they knew it, they had to get the puck out of their net six times in the first period.
It looked like a one team show going into the second period. The Spiders were up 7-2 when the Knights started pushing hard.
Spiders were breaking out of their defensive zone rather seamlessly, Cameron Macdonald going for a lot of skates. Knights played well when being short handed.
Ian Bemister (KNI) scored a short handed goal in the third period to adjust the score to 5-7 for the Knights. Less then a minute later in power play, Haramrit Toor (SPI) returned his team 3 goal lead.
The game was exciting till the end, since Knights scored 2 goals and made it a one goal game. Nobody scored in the last 27 seconds of the game, so the Spiders could add another win to their standings. Final score 8-7.

Very productive power plays in this Comets vs Pirates game (Sep 5). 4 goals were scored in 5 power plays.
Every time when the Comets came close to the puck, you could sense a goal in the air. Pirates could luckily rely on their solid, experienced defence - Cameron Macdonald, Jason Hynes and Lee Bouchard.
Exciting, even game, up and down from the beginning till the end. Patrick Rosh with his wrap around gave the Comets one goal lead (2-1) after the first period. Travis Borstmayer (PIR) tied the game at 2-2. Then Dave Logan with a wrist shot added another goal for the Pirates. Comets didn’t plan to give up, Patrick Rosh scored 2 goals within 37 seconds to give his team a one goal lead.
All the scoring in the third period happened in last 2:16 minutes. 2 goals by Simon Chettle (COM) and one by Ian Bemister (PIR).
When Pirates pulled their goalie in the third period, Simon Chettle (COM) took advantage of an easy empty net goal with 21 seconds left in the game. Final score 6-4 for the Comets meant they got to cuddle the trophy.

Tigers didn’t give Spartans too much time in the offensive zone (Sep 5).
Fast game, Tigers sure kept Kurt Latkovich (SPA) and his new shiny catcher and blocker busy.
With 4 minutes left in the game and score 8-7 for the Spartans, Tigers sent their goalie on the bench. Noah Ahamed (TIG) scored a big goal to tie the game 8-8.
Spartans didn’t have an answer to that goal, instead Tarnvir Gill added one more goal for the Tigers with 52 seconds left in the game to seal the Tigers 9-8 victory.

Game between Phantoms and Titans almost looked like a waiting game for an opponent’s mistake (Sep 4).
Slower start was replaced by faster pace about half way through the game. Phantoms were up 3-1 after the first but there was no way for the Titans to give up.
Kelly Barnes (TIT) was quite busy - he faced 45 shots and helped his team to stay in the game.
Adam Webster’s 5 points (3 goals and 2 assists - 2 goals in power play) and Klara Bemister’s 4 points (2 goals and 2 assists) tipped the scale in the Phantom’s favour. Final score 6-4 for the Phantoms.

Have you ever seen flying Knights? You should have come to watch the Knights vs Spiders game (Sep 4).
Most of the Knights players were enjoying long weekend. Those players who came, skated hard despite their short bench. Lots of accurate passing by the Knights, great teamwork.
Mike Lowe (KNI) scored a short handed goal in the first period and that shook Spiders confidence which they couldn’t get back.
Ian Bemister (KNI) returned to his “old goon days” with 8 penalty minutes. Spiders got 2 power play goals out of it.
It was a deserved 10-3 victory for the Knights.
