EX-STING KYROU TRADED TO WASHINGTON; MURPHY RE-SIGNS WITH OILERS

Jordan Kyrou is heading for the capital--the American capital that is. The former Sting has been dealt by the St. Louis Blues to the Washington Capitals in exchange for former London Knight Connor McMichael, a Swedish prospect and a first round selection in this Friday's NHL draft.
St. Louis now has four first round picks in the upcoming proceedings.
Kyrou has scored 179 goals and 391 points in 516 regular season and playoff games with the Blues since they made him an early second-round pick in 2016.
He played four seasons with the Sting including finishing third in league scoring during the 2017-18 campaign with 39 goals and 109 points in 56 games.
The deal also reunited Kyrou with former Sting teammate Jakob Chychrun. (Both shown below)
Meantime, another former Sting Connor Murphy has signed a new five-year deal with the Edmonton Oiler worth $20.5 million. Murphy was acquired by Edmonton from Chicago at the NHL trade deadline in March.
