Last Saturday was the start of our winter trap league. We had 16 members out for our first eat-and-shoot event. It was a great day for shooting. Not very often can you shoot barehanded in mid January? I’m going to guess we shot over 40 rounds of trap with a bit of variation in the scores. Some people even wore sneakers. And although they ended up with wet feet, they weren’t cold! The lunch consisted of cheeseburgers done outside on the grill. They must’ve been OK because we ended up cooking 24 burgers in all.

Great to see some new faces as well as the old faces. The stories over lunch were varied with many fish hooked and lost, big bucks seen once and never seen again, gargantuan moose, and flocks and flocks of partridge and ducks.

Looking forward to next weeks tales of travel and adventure. The long range weather looks pretty good and the lunch will be shepherds pie sans pepper.

Hope everyone has a great week and we’ll see you next Saturday!!!

PS: that’s water on the ground in the pictures not ice.
