Hitting Back at Mental Illness

The totals are in and with everyone who donated and supported this year - as well as another very generous donation from Jack Keyes, this years 3rd Annual Hitting Back at Mental Illness Tournament: In Memory of Kathy Ross & Jake Stanley has raised $32,452.75 towards PRHC’s Youth & Adult Mental Health Units! This means that within 3 years we have raised a total of $103,117.09 towards our local Mental Health Treatments/Facilities!!! This includes new equipment for the units including massage chairs, iPads, new programs and beautiful murals throughout the unit to support healing, as well as an entirely brand new outdoor courtyard for the Youth Inpatient Unit! That is INCREDIBLE, and would not have been possible without any of the people who donated, sponsored, supported, played or even talked about the tournament the last few years! It is an amazing feeling to know that this many people support the goal of erasing the stigma towards mental illness within Peterborough! Mom & Jake are definitely looking down on us all smiling ❤️! Thank you to everyone who was apart of this ride, we truly hope that it has sparked a conversation as well as opened some doors for people to be able to seek treatment without judgement! Congratulations to our 3rd Year Winning Team: The Master Batters!!! As well, they were our top fundraising team of the tournament too!! 🏆🥇 A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has come out and played, donated, supported, sponsored or even talked about the tournament over the past 3 Years because none of this would have been able to happen without you! Thank you for allowing us to be able to open up a conversation about mental illness within our own community, as well as helping to erase the stigma, spread awareness and raise money for an amazing cause! Thank you, thank you, thank you! ❤️🤗 We are still waiting on the winner ticket holder to claim the last prize (180 gift card & two 24’s)! If it is you please contact us 🙂! Here are your 2019 schedules 🤗! All first games will begin at 9am! All games will be 59 minutes with each team batting an equal number of times! Please ensure you either make plans to pay your teams fee before the tournament or let us know you will be bringing it day of! Volunteer Schedules will be posted shortly! If there are any conflicts please contact us! We are looking forward to seeing everyone ⚾️🎉

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR ALL REGISTERED TEAMS : The winning team of the tournament will receive : $100 to the LCBO - AND - $100 to the BeerStore! The Top Fundraising Team will receive: a surprise basket of mixed alcohol!! We hope everyone is getting excited for next month! Volunteer Schedules/Duties will he sent out soon - we will also take donations for prizes up until the tournament!
