Your needs matter. Your voice matters. Knowing how to use both can change the way you move through the world. This interactive workshop will explore self-advocacy and the practical skills that help us communicate our needs, ask questions, set boundaries, and navigate everyday systems with greater confidence. Participants will consider how self-advocacy can support them in spaces such as healthcare, education, employment, finances, and community services. Throughout the workshop, participants will create their own small zine filled with reflections, useful language, strategies, and resources they can carry forward as a personal self-advocacy toolkit.

Check out this public consultation on the redesign of Charlotte St between Aylmer and Water. At B!KE we've been talking about ideas like a single-level, multi-use roadway that allows all road users to access and enjoy this deep downtown location safely - car drivers, walkers, bike riders, kids, people with disabilities. What do you think? Fill out the City's survey at the link in the post.

Charlotte Street East is set for a redesign building on a concept designed in 2018 which included:

• A flexible/festival street approach that can easily accommodate public events
• Traffic calming measures for a safer, more inviting streetscape
• New street amenities (lighting, benches, signage)
• Decorative paving surfaces and street trees

The City of Peterborough is looking for input. To share your thoughts, fill out the survey on the city's website through the link below before September 14:

Seeking 14 mm sockets!

Have you ever had to remove a crank set? Chances are you used a 14 mm socket wrench to remove the crank bolts before pulling the cranks. (Okay, or maybe an 8 mm Allen wrench.) Having a couple of 14 mm sockets in the shop is pretty essential, but they do disappear from time to time. Before we go out and purchase a whole new socket set... do YOU have a 14 mm socket kicking around your basement or garage that never gets used? Would you be willing to donate it? We don't need the driver, or other sizes of sockets - just that precious 14 mm head.
