🇨🇦THE ROAD TO WORLDS — DOMINICK DIFALCO🌎
Tomorrow Dominick leaves to represent Team Canada at the WAKO Junior World Championships in Jesolo, Italy, chasing one of the biggest goals in our sport — a WAKO WORLD TITLE. 🥊
But it isn’t really about one tournament.
It’s about the journey that got him there. 🗺️
Dominick started kickboxing when he was just 6 years old. Since then, there have been thousands of rounds. Countless hours on the mats. Long drives to training. Early mornings. Late nights. Wins. Losses. Injuries. Sacrifices. National Championships. Provincial Championships. International tournaments. And opportunities to wear the 🇨🇦 on his back around the world.
Along the way, Dominick became a multiple-time Canadian National Champion and Provincial Champion, competed at WAKO World Cups in Türkiye, and represented Canada at the 2024 WAKO Youth World Championships in Budapest.
But some of what makes us most proud of Dominick has nothing to do with medals.
Even as a young athlete, he has given his time back to the next generation — helping teach, coach and train younger athletes at WCMA while continuing to chase his own goals.
We’ve watched a little kid who loved kickboxing grow into a young man capable of representing his team, his city and his country on the biggest stage in the world.
And now it’s time for the next chapter.
Dominick, you’ve done the work.
You’ve earned the opportunity.
Now go enjoy the moment, trust your training and show the world what Team Canada and Team WCMA are all about‼️
Peterborough is behind you. Your coaches are behind you. Your teammates are behind you. Your family is behind you. And an entire generation of young WCMA athletes are watching what’s possible when you refuse to stop chasing something.
