Hey everyone!

I will be having a short training session for the Japan athletes today at 17:30. Any and all training partner assistance would be greatly appreciated! We are less than 2 weeks out from the Worlds!!!!

Tomorrow will be our usual 10 AM start for OPEN mat (BJJ and Muay Thai) and competition prep.

Hey everyone!

Professor James Locke (Nova Scotia) will be visiting us on Thursday night (20 August) to participate in the open mat training. Please make it on out if you are in the local area. James is one of my original students from the establishment of the club back in 2012. It will be a great time!

The Petawawa-based Team Canada athletes are quickly arriving at competition day in Tokyo, Japan (2026 SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship: 03-06 September). We still need training partners to help them in their final preps! We have a big roster of talent traveling in to represent Canada from across the country. The SJJCANF will be making announcements very shortly to highlight our athletes and awareness for what the organization is doing. This is the future of BJJ in Canada and this is only the beginning.

Additionally, ALL programs that are kicking off in September (BJJ and Muay Thai, youth and adult) are OPEN! Please register today via PSP/Rec Plex. Spread the word!

Hey everyone!

Don't forget that the annual 2026 Team Evolution Summer Camp is this coming Saturday, 15 August, at our HQ in Gatineau! The camps are a great way to meet new people, share our collective passion for BJJ and celebrate our unity as a team :) I have included the breakdown of the schedule. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We will still have training on Saturday (BJJ and MT) for those who are not able to make it into Ottawa. Also, our first few Petawawa-based athletes for Team Canada will be departing late next week for the 2026 Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Japan, with the remainder of Team Canada arriving late August. I still need your assistance as training partners! Your help is greatly appreciated!

Additionally, as some of you may have already seen earlier today, a huge announcement was made via social media that the SJJCANF (Canada's NSO for BJJ under the SJJIF) is now partnered with CAN Grappling (Canada's NSO for grappling/Pankration/amateur MMA under the UWW Grappling - Olympic Organization). This is a huge step forward in the professional organization, development and growth of Canada's combat sports. We will be releasing a full competition schedule for BJJ, grappling, Pankration and amateur MMA, spanning all of Canada, in the coming weeks. Stay tuned, we have more incredible news coming shortly :) Please pass the word and share with all of your friends. We cannot do this without your support!

Registration is now open for all Fall sessions!

Please note: All returning students from the Spring Session are required to register for the Fall. PSP will not automatically enrol returning students, so please make sure you complete your registration to secure your spot.

Hey everyone! A reminder that our next BJJ and MT open mats are tomorrow morning at 10 AM :)

Also, the next Team Evolution BJJ Summer Camp is Saturday (15 Aug) at our HQ in Gatineau, QC. Please let me know this week if you are planning to attend so that the HQ staff can finalize their planning. It's gong to be a great opportunity to train with our other teammates and learn jiu-jitsu from other instructors. Don't miss it!

One last point, I am having a training session today at 17:00 for the Petawawa athletes who are competing in Tokyo, Japan as part of Team Canada. Any and all training partners would be greatly appreciated! This will be a short, focused training session (~ 1 hour) for the Tokyo team.

Hey everyone!

I hope you all had a great long weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather :) We are fully operational again tonight with our open mats - Muay Thai and BJJ! Muay Thai kicks off at 17:00 and BJJ at 18:00.

As usual, the Team Canada athletes from Petawawa going to the 2026 SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship being held in Tokyo, Japan will be continuing their prep, so any and all help as training partners is greatly appreciated!

Additionally, a reminder that the annual Evolution BJJ Summer Camp will be taking place at our HQ in Gatineau on 15 August. Mark that date on your calendar and I hope to see you there!
