Happy New Years to everyone and I hope you had a great 2024 filled with self improvement, hitting goals, and enjoying life! Here are some of the accomplishments from a few of the athletes I am lucky enough to work with.
Mathis Preston/Nathan Preston
-Mathis had a breakout year in his hockey career with an excellent final season at OHA with the U18 Prep Team. Mathis also won gold with Team Canada White at the U17 world championships this fall and recorded 6 goals and 1 assist in 5 games at the tournament. In the WHL this season with the Spokane Chiefs he has also scored 12 goals and added 13 assists through 30 games so far.
Nathan Preston plays for the Tri City Americans in the WHL and has had a great season so far and earned the spot as top goalie in the WHL for the first week of November which is quite the accomplishment.
Marlee Winser
-Marlee attended the canadian olympic swim trials, won two medals at the Western Canadian Swim Championships, made team BC for the Mel Zajac Jr International Swim meet and SI Clubhouse Colleges Cup 2024, made the Swim BC advanced team, broke three BCSS provincial records, and broke the 200 IM meet record at the 2024 KCS MJB Law Ice Classic as well. Keep up the incredible work Marlee!
London Funk (pictured left)
-London Funk had a highly decorated season with the Penticton Tigers U15AAA Baseball team as well as Team British Columbia at the U13AAA Nationals. London won a provincial championship with the Tigers and a National Championship with Team BC. Keep it up kid!
Lucas Badger
-Lucas began working with me to improve his athleticism for golf before his first season at Columbia Basin College. Lucas made the jump from Junior to Men’s golf this year and placed top 25 in every event he played in. Lucas also was able to crack the top 10 in his first ever college event last fall as well. Big things ahead in 2025 my friend!
Charlie Bourne
-Charlie really took a step with his swimming this season and has been on an absolute roll since we began working together. In 2024 Charlie qualified for the Western Canadian Championships, won a bronze in the 1500 free at BC Summer Provincials, he also broke 2 KISU Records!
