We’re sad to share that unfortunately, we just received word from CASA (Central Alberta Soccer Association) that they are cancelling most playoff games for tomorrow & Wednesday, including the games previously scheduled for our U-11 & U-13 Piranhas.

We definitely apologize for any confusion & disappointment as there was lots of excitement to get back on the field for one last time this season 🩷

Good luck to our U-15 Piranhas who have won all their games at qualifiers this rainy weekend to earn a spot in the final...

As the final whistles blow on our 2026 regular outdoor season, we want to take a moment to look back & celebrate everything our amazing community has achieved on & off the pitch.

An organization like the Penhold Minor Soccer Association only thrives because of the incredible community behind it. We have so many people to thank for making this season a massive success for our players:

The weather might be a bit rainy right now, but rain or shine is always the perfect time for ice cream!

We are wrapping up the season in the best way possible—with free ice cream!

📅 When: TODAY, Wednesday, June 17
⏰ Time: Starting at 5:00 PM
📍 Where: Under The Hub Gazebo

Every Penhold Piranha player and coach gets to enjoy a scoop of ice cream on us! 🍨

Bringing the whole family? Not a player or a coach?

No worries at all! The Penhold & District Museum Society will also be serving the public right alongside us.

Bring your family, your lawn chairs (and maybe an umbrella!), and some cash to purchase treats for everyone else while we celebrate our amazing athletes and watch some of the last practices and games of the season ⚽️

The Wetaskiwin Spirit Cup tournament is officially in the books, and we could not be prouder of our U-13 Penhold Piranhas!

Congrats to Cole for being one of the top scorers for the entire U-13 pool!

Tournaments test a team's endurance, but our players stepped onto the pitch and showed everyone the true definition of endless determination, grit, and resilience. No matter what the scoreboard read at the final whistle, this weekend was packed with massive victories for our group.

While a scoreboard only measures goals, true success is measured in character—and that is where the U-13 Piranhas completely stole the show.

Over the course of the tournament, opposing coaches approached our bench to commend our players. They explicitly shared that the U-13 Piranhas were one of the most respectful and sportsmanlike teams they played all weekend (and all season!).

To be recognized by your opponents for your class and integrity on the pitch is the ultimate win. It shows that our players don't just care about the game; they care about playing it the right way and representing Penhold with absolute pride.

Scoreboards are temporary, but the character this team built this weekend is permanent 🩷

Way to go, Piranhas!
