As I celebrate 10 years in Peace River, I wanted to share my story and my journey.

I moved here in 2016 with my husband and my babies who were 4 and 1 (they're 14 and 11 now 🤯)

I was teaching Insanity classes around the region, and had a mini-business called 'Pop Up Fitness' (because I ran classes from Berwyn to St. Isidore). I was also a trainer at Fit Body Bootcamp, and rented the basement to offer a wider range of classess.

It was then that Pop Up Fitness rebranded to Lift Fitness, since my classes finally had a home. 🥰

Maybe you joined me for Aerial Yoga, High Fitness, Strong by Zumba, Bungee Fitness, Yoga Fusion, Kids Classes, Barbell Pump or Silver Sneakers. 🙌(let me know if you did!)

After 3 years, I had the opportunity to purchase Fit Body Bootcamp, and it felt like those years of heart and hustle finally paid off. 💖 it felt like a dream and everything I ever wanted.

I owned Lift in its's new iteration 3 months when the covid tidal wave came, and shut my doors. I don't dwell or talk about it much, actually at all, but it was monumental in shaping my journey.

I spent 2020-2023 desperately trying to save a sinking ship, because I loved the studio so much. The people around me were a god-send, the reason I wanted to protect this amazing community & the responsibility inherited from Fit Body Bootcamp. Ultimately, covid won and I had to close the doors.

That's all I'll dedicate to that subject, but lets just say. It absolutely destroyed me for a while.

After teaching classes casually at the Baytex for a year or two, as a rebranded 'Elemental Fitness and Nutrition Coaching' my heart felt healed.

I opened our current Riverdrive Mall location in December 2025. Over the past 9 months, we have grown, welcoming back some of the most amazing trainers, Jackie Campbell, Jessica Mrazek, Michelle Cockwill, Jordan Broadhead, Amanda Burdick Magnusson , Annette Bennett, Kirsty Jamie-Lee Broadhead & Renee Mussio.

So THANK YOU PEACE RIVER from the bottom of my heart for your support through the highs and lows these past 10 years. I like to think the best is yet to come ❤️

Most of our members joined solo, but very quickly became part of something bigger.

A community that looks forward to seeing them each session.... a coach that tracks and celebrates their progress... and connections that make coming to train feel like a non negotiable.

Thats what builds consistency, and consistency is what builds results!
