Thanks to our awesome crew who came out to help run the TA Norris track meet concession. Because of their efforts, we raised just over $1,000 for the club.

Our players, Onia, Aftyn, and Kiley, along with our adopted Cougar, Lily, did a fantastic job taking orders, handing out food, and making change. One of our parents, Owen, kept the hot dogs coming and definitely boosted sales with his hot dog costume!

A big thank you as well to Jody and Kim for the behind-the-scenes work of organizing supplies and setting up our cash float.

We are also very grateful to Byron for giving us the opportunity to run this fundraiser, helping get groceries ready, keeping everything well stocked throughout the day, and making sure the event ran smoothly. Thanks also to Jon, TA Norris principal, for helping set up the concession, getting the BBQ going in the morning, and letting us use the BBQ and other supplies. Byron’s TA student helpers were also a huge help throughout the day.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed. It was a great team effort and a successful fundraiser for the Cougars.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out tonight for our games. What a fantastic night of rugby! Four schools, eight teams, eight games. 3 1/2 hours of fantastic rugby in the heat!

Our Cougars made us so proud. The girls lost their first game to Charles Spencer 15-5, but then came back strong and won their next two games against North Peace Secondary School 33-10 and 22-15. The boys lost their first game to GP Comp 29-7 and then brought their game against North Peace Secondary right down to the last play, when NPSS scored a late try to win 26-22. It was a hard fought, exciting game, and the boys left everything on the field!

Thanks to all of the parents and spectators who came out to support the team. It was such a great night!

Our last night of games is tonight at Peace High. Grande Prairie Composite, Charles Spencer school from GP, and North Peace Secondary School from Fort St. John are all coming to play.

Our boys and girls Cougars teams will each play two games.

The first Cougars game will be at 4:25 and the last game will end around 7.

Come out to Peace High and cheer on our Cougars!

A huge thank you to Freson Bros Peace River for giving our club two fundraising opportunities that helped us raise almost $2400. And, of course, thank you to all the players, parents, and volunteers for all their hard work that made them a success.

We had a great night of rugby on Tuesday, with our boys and girls teams each playing two home games against their counterparts from Peace Wapiti Academy. Samuel Baker, a local photographer, took tons of pictures of the matches and shared the Google Drive folder with us. The link is pasted below. Here are some of our favorites, 10 from the boys and 10 from the girls.

That's a wrap on our first tournament of 2026! Lloydminster 7s was an absolute blast.

The girls won one, tied one, and lost two, playing brilliant rugby against strong competitors the whole time.

The boys lost their four games, but they were playing very established, strong teams, and they made each of them fight for every point. They scored some tries, had many moments of brilliance, and put in tons of monster hits along the way.

Both teams learned so much today, and we can't see what they're going to do for the remainder of the season.

We are so incredibly proud of every player. They played their hearts out and left absolutely everything on the pitch!
