What I didn’t realize was that I couldn’t become the strongest healthiest version of myself without building a foundation first.

Under fueled, over stressed, afraid of food, and afraid to step outside my routine.

I had lost my period, hormones out of whack, lacked energy, all to feel good on the outside but suffering on the inside.

The hardest thing I had to do was choose to get uncomfortable.

Hiring a coach, eating more, and gaining weight all challenged my belief on what health was supposed to look like.

The truth is, the goals you want most aren’t achieved in a few weeks, months, or even a year. They’re built through hundreds of small decisions.

Feeling the strongest version of myself not because of the scale. Because I have energy. I have mental clarity. I enjoy movement. I love cooking again. I can be spontaneous without fear. I feel excited about what life can offer. I have a foundation.

The biggest thing I’ve learnt is that health isn’t a destination you arrive at. It’s a lifelong process of learning, adapting, and growing.

Everytime I’ve shared this journey I’ve been in a different season. Different challenges. Different goals. Different lessons.

The version of me who gained 40+lbs was doing exactly what she needed at that time.
The version of me today is continuing to build that foundation.

This isn’t the end of the story. It’s another chapter.

Don’t be afraid of the uncomfortable season.

Sometimes the path forward looks nothing like what you expected, but might be exactly what you need.

Keep building the foundation.
The results will come. 💕✨

This is something I had to learn myself.

I used to rush a lot of my workouts

just trying to get everything done
more exercises
moving faster
thinking that meant I was working harder

but I wasn’t actually getting as much out of it as I could have

once I slowed things down and started focusing on each rep, everything changed

I could actually feel the muscles working, my lifts were more consistent, and my strength started progressing way better

that’s where this approach to training comes in

most people don’t need more volume or more exercises

they need more control
• slow your reps down
• focus on what you’re actually working
• stop relying on momentum to move the weight

yes, explosive work has its place
but it should be intentional, not every rep

if you slowed your workouts down tomorrow…
would they still look the same?

that’s usually where the shift happens

These are the most important and hardest to learn.

You’re not always going to feel motivated.
You’re not always going to have the perfect routine.
Life isn’t always going to line up in a way that makes it easy.

What you do is learn how to:
• pause instead of pushing yourself into burnout
• adjust instead of stopping completely
• keep things simple instead of overcomplicating everything
• show up even when it doesn’t feel ideal

That’s what’s helped me stay consistent. It’s the same approach I focus on with my clients.

Real progress isn’t built on perfect weeks, it’s built on what you do when things aren’t perfect.

If this resonates with you, part 1 and 2 are on my page and will tie it all together.

I have a few openings for new clients in my online coaching program 👇

If you’ve been wanting to get stronger, feel better in your body, and have some structure but don’t want something extreme or overwhelming, this is exactly what I offer.

As a Kinesiologist and Personal Trainer my approach goes beyond just workouts. It’s about understanding how your body moves, adapts, and progresses so we can build something that actually lasts.

I work with busy individuals who want something realistic, structured, and sustainable.

What coaching with me looks like:
✔️ Fully customized workouts (home OR gym)
✔️ Program built around proper movement patterns, strength progression, and injury prevention
✔️ Exercise videos and instructions
✔️ Nutrition guidance (no cutting out foods or extremes)
✔️ Check-ins with feedback and adjustments
✔️ Support whenever you need it
✔️ A plan that actually fits your life and schedule

This is not about random workouts, crash diets, overly complex programs, spending hours in the gym daily, or “start over Monday” cycles.

If you want to see results like this:
• Lose 20–40+ lbs while gaining strength
• Feel more confident in the gym
• Improve energy, mobility, and routine
• Finally stay consistent long-term
Then a program built for you could be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

If you’ve been thinking about finding the strongest version of yourself, let this be your sign.

✨Client Highlight: Reagan ✨

When Reagan started with me, the goal wasn’t just to lose weight it was to build something sustainable.

Since then, she’s down 37 lbs, but more importantly, she’s built muscle, strength, and a completely different mindset around training and nutrition.
This wasn’t quick progress, and that’s exactly why it worked.

Instead of eating less and doing more, she learned how to fuel her body properly. We focused on her macros, building strength through structured phases, and staying consistent even when motivation wasn’t high. She showed up through busy weeks, events, and low energy days.

There were plateaus, and there were weeks where progress didn’t feel obvious. Instead of starting over or changing everything, she stayed with it. She trusted the process, even when it wasn’t exciting, and that’s what made the difference.

This is what body recomposition actually looks like. It’s about creating structure, building strength and learning how to support your body properly over time.

I’m SO proud of you .boucher for the work you’ve put in and the mindset you’ve built along the way. You did this! I’m so excited to keep working together and see where this next phase takes you. Thank you for sharing your journey for others to see and being proud of yourself. You’re going to inspire so many! ✨💕

If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of doing more, eating less, and starting over, this is your reminder that there’s a better way.

Starting isn’t always the hardest part. Staying long enough to see the vision through is.

After building some of the foundational habits, this is where progress often slows and where many people fall off.

This phase is less about doing more, and more about doing the right things consistently over time.

Following a structured approach, progressing your training, fueling your body appropriately, and letting go of the all-or-nothing mindset are what allow those initial habits to actually lead to results.

It’s not the most exciting part of the process, but it’s the part that makes the biggest difference.

Small habits, applied consistently and with intention, are what drive long-term progress in strength, energy, and overall health.

If you missed part 1, you can find it on my page. This builds on it!

You don’t need punishing workouts.
You don’t need to start over every week.
And you definitely don’t need to overhaul your entire life to make progress.

What you need is structure, patience, and the willingness to keep showing up.

Strength is built through the basics done consistently. Lifting with intention, moving your body daily, fueling it well, and allowing it to recover.

The workouts that change your body aren’t the extreme ones.

They’re the ones you repeat week after week.

Progress isn’t dramatic.
It’s steady.
It’s quiet.
And over time, it adds up to something powerful.

The basics done consistently will take you further than extremes ever will.

These are a few wellness habits I try to prioritize regularly.

Nothing extreme or complicated, just simple practices that support energy, strength, and recovery over time.

Prioritizing real food, moving your body consistently, getting outside, building strength, and allowing time for recovery can have a significant impact on how you feel day to day.

These foundational behaviours support many of the systems responsible for how we function and recover, including metabolism, sleep, and nervous system regulation.

Small habits, practiced consistently, go a long way in supporting long-term health and energy.

Follow along this series for more habits and practices that support long-term health, energy, and overall wellness.

There’s a difference between fitness content and fitness education.

Most fitness advice is built around aesthetics.
Kinesiology approaches training differently.

It’s not just about how a movement looks,
it’s about how your body feels and tolerates load.

It’s not about chasing soreness,
it’s about appropriate stress and real adaptation.

It’s not about chasing intensity for a quick burn, it’s about longevity.

You don’t need:
More punishment.
More exhaustion.
More shrinking.

You need:
Programming that respects anatomy.
Strength that protects your future.
Recovery that allows growth.

Training done with intention doesn’t just change how you look, it expands what your body is capable of.
