With New Years Resolutions around the corner there’s a few things to consider asking yourself when it comes to setting yourself up for success in fitness for the long term:

- Why didn’t it stick previous years?

- Do you tend to start something new with too much at one time?

- What’s a realistic amount of times you can hit the gym a week while lowering the chance of burnout?

- What’s the reason you want to make this change?

- Is my plan something I can see myself sticking to long term?

With all this being said I see people start their journeys every year, and it’s amazing when you see someone make it stick and change their lives for the better

Wishing everyone the best of luck in their New Year’s resolutions! Remember to be easy on yourself when starting something new!

🔹 Can keep some people more engaged in workouts compared to standard weight training

🔹 Improves cardiovascular endurance

🔹 Improves muscular endurance

🔹 Time efficient if you have a busy life schedule

🔹 Wide variety of exercise selection

🔹 Minimal equipment required for basic workouts

🔹 Can be a greater feeling of fatigue and accomplishment when completed

Do you track your progress?

Most people won’t, or will go with the flow on workouts without having any constructive feedback on what they did the previous week or how they were feeling during the workout.

Tracking workouts can be more than just adding weight to the bar or reps every week, it can give you great insight on how you were feeling the day of, what time of day your workout is or how much sleep you got the night before.

I say all this to encourage you to be more organized about your training if your goal is to progress consistently, so you can identify areas where you maybe need to make a change or have a plan when you get to the gym.

You’re already putting in the work you deserve to have a log of how far you’ve progressed and have that tool at your disposal.

My customized training programs include areas to log your progress, the intensity you feel them at and notes to leave feedback on anything that may be feeling off or good about that specific day.
