Baseball NL is excited to launch the Apprenticeship Coach Program. This opportunity is for young and emerging coaches to learn, grow, and gain valuable experience on the field this season ⚾

Through mentorship and on-field involvement, apprentice coaches will begin building the skills and confidence needed to continue along the coaching pathway.

CBS Sports Hall of Fame Inductee - 2000 Girls Baseball Team ⚾👏

At Queen Elizabeth Regional High School in the year 2000, there was a try-out poster for the first-ever CBS girls baseball team. That year, the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games was implementing girls baseball for the first time! History was being made.

The QE Girls Baseball Team quickly emerged as one of the province’s top teams during this early stage of development for the sport. They went on to capture both the All-Newfoundland Championship and the gold medal at the Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games, helping to raise the profile of girls baseball at both the local and provincial levels.

At a time when opportunities for female athletes in baseball were still developing, this team helped open doors, showing that girls could compete and succeed at the highest level.

Their success helped strengthen participation in the sport and inspired future generations of athletes in Conception Bay South.

Baseball NL was excited to host a Female Level 1 Umpire Clinic on May 11th, supporting the growth of women and girls in officiating and creating more opportunities to stay involved in baseball beyond playing.
