💙 That's a Wrap on PBU 2026! 💙

As we close the chapter on another incredible Paradise Backyard Ultra, we simply want to say thank you.

To our runners, volunteers, crew, sponsors, spectators, photographers, partners, and everyone who followed along from home—you made this year's event something truly special. The support, encouragement, and sense of community around the yard was second to none.

Yesterday, we were also proud to donate part of the proceeds from this year's event to the East Coast Trail Association and the rest will be given to a charity chosen by the Town of Paradise (in previous years, this has been the Paradise/CBS Food Bank). Giving back to our community has always been at the heart of PBU, and it's only possible because of all of you.

Our attention now turns to Kelowna, BC, where the Canadian Backyard Ultra National Championships take place October 17–?? (hopefully the 21st!). We'll be cheering on Team Canada as they take on the best backyard runners in the world, and we can't wait to follow the action with all of you.

We'll continue to post updates over the coming months, so stay tuned!

Our goal is to open registration for PBU 2027 shortly after Nationals wrap up in late October (just before the ECT 50K), and we're excited to announce that we've already secured Paradise Park for the weekend of Friday, May 28 – Sunday, May 30, 2027.

We hope to welcome back all of our awesome ultra runners, volunteers, crew members, sponsors—and plenty of new faces—for another unforgettable weekend.

Until then... heal up, keep adventuring, and we'll see you back in the yard. ❤️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Being an accountant I always enjoy updating the numbers of this event every year.

In 2026 once again runners upped the ante. Increasing the yards per athlete. This year runners covered the distance of St. John's to Los Angeles and halfway back! Over 341 marathons of distance.

Cumulative over 3 years we've covered ~90% of the circumference of the Earth, and we are 94% of the way to the moon. We've covered St. John's to Vancouver and back over 5 times.
