Yesterday our hearts were broken as we heard of the passing of one of our most treasured friends - Jerry Walsh.
We are so lucky to have the best customers here. So much so that they become family. Jerry was no exception. He was the best.
If you stepped through our doors, you were bound to have met Jerry. He was often here daily with a coffee, black horse or plumbing gear in tow. If he didn’t know you, he would get to know you and he wouldn’t forget your face the next time you came in.
He became a father figure and best friend to all of us. Whether it was offering advice, praising our accomplishments, helping us fix whatever maintenance issue (even teaching us how to fix it) or being “Car 5” ( If you know, you know) - he was always there. Whenever someone was in need - he was the first to suggest we fundraise for them and the first to donate. He helped “train” our new staff in the daytime - helping them with any issues they came across. He even had a key to the building! Always wanting to help. Always lending a hand. He was kind, loving and oh so funny. He was the best.
We will forever miss his presence here and the playful wink and grin he would give us when he was being silly. It’s hard to imagine life at West Side without him and he will be dearly missed by not just us but by many who walk through our doors.
Gone from our sight but never from our hearts. ❤️
Forever a part of our WSC family. ❤️
Forever loved. ❤️
