🏒 Pre-Season Concussion Baseline Testing at Xtreme! 🏒

At Xtreme Hockey and Xtreme Training, athlete safety and peak performance always come first. That’s why we’ve partnered with Attain Physiotherapy & Sport Performance Centre to offer on-site baseline concussion testing right here at our facility before the season kicks off!

Why Baseline Testing Matters: Baseline testing captures an athlete’s normal cognitive, visual, and balance function before the season starts. If an injury occurs, post-injury results are compared against this personalized benchmark—removing the guesswork so healthcare professionals can guide a safe, accurate return to the ice and training floor.

The Details:
    •    Provider: Dr. Jillian Holden (Chiropractor, Attain Physiotherapy)
    •    Location: Xtreme Training (1297 Topsail Road, Paradise)
    •    Date: Wednesday, September 16th, 2026
    •    Times: Group 1: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM | Group 2: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM
    •    Cost: $50 per person (Payment due upon registration)
(Note: While baseline testing is direct payment, post-injury concussion treatment/rehab at Attain can be directly billed to most major private insurance providers).

Xtreme Training Fall Skills & Shooting Sessions

Take your game to the next level this Fall with Xtreme Training’s Fall Skills & Shooting Sessions. Designed for players who want to improve their confidence and offensive ability, these weekly sessions focus on developing the skills that make a difference in game situations.

Using our industry-leading Rapid Shot Hockey Shooting System and proven skill development techniques, players will receive high-quality repetitions while working on shooting mechanics, puck control, passing accuracy, and quick-release techniques. Every session is built to maximize puck touches, improve decision-making, and develop the confidence to create scoring opportunities.

Players will work on:

* Shooting accuracy, power, and quick release
* Wrist shots, snap shots, backhands, and one-timers
* Stickhandling and puck control
* Passing and receiving under pressure
* Shooting in stride and game-like scenarios
* Hockey IQ, reaction time, and offensive creativity

Our experienced coaches provide individualized instruction in a fun, high-energy environment that challenges players while building proper habits and technique. With small group sizes, every athlete receives plenty of feedback and repetitions to accelerate their development.

Train consistently this season, build confidence with the puck, and be ready to make an impact every time you step on the ice.

What a week Coach Laith is having!

FAA Marco Challenge Cup had a great win last night against SJ Challenge Cup with a 3-2 score!

Laith had a hat trick!!

We finish in 2nd place going into the semifinals on Friday August 7, 2026!!!

Sending out a big congratulations to Xtreme Strength Coach Laith on earning his NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification!

Laith holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has now added the prestigious CSCS certification to his résumé. A returning Memorial University Seahawks player and current Challenge Cup athlete, Laith played a key role in developing a strong program for the first year of our FAA Training Program. He has also dedicated himself to understanding the relationship between strength and conditioning and on-ice performance in hockey players.

We’re excited to have Laith on board to help take our programs to the next level. Congratulations, Laith!

Our female athletes have been putting in the work this off ice season.

Did you know, in Canada, more than 1 in 5 girls leave sport during adolescence, with dropout rates increasing around age 16. By late adolescence, nearly 1 in 3 girls have left organized sport. That’s why creating positive, empowering environments for female athletes matters. Every session is about building confidence, strength, and a lifelong love for sport.

Our goal is to build up our females in sports with the hope of breaking barriers and keeping them together longer.
