💜 MEET THE ARTISTIC DIRECTOR 💜
Heather Anne Dixon — Owner • Teacher • Choreographer • Mentor
As we celebrate 19 years of Dixon’s Dance & Fitness Studio, I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself and share a little of the journey behind the studio. 💜
For more than 30 years, dance and teaching have been at the heart of my life. From beginning dance at three years old, competing in Highland Dance, training professionally in Ottawa, and becoming a dance educator, to opening my own studio here in Owen Sound—this journey has given me opportunities and memories I will always treasure.
I’m incredibly proud to continue growing as an educator through PAEC, Acrobatic Arts, Progressive Ballet Technique, Cecchetti Ballet, B.A.T.D. Highland Dancing, Zumba®, STRONG by Zumba® and Zumba® Lift, along with continued professional development across many forms of dance and movement.
But qualifications are only one part of what matters to me. My greatest privilege has been watching generations of dancers walk through our doors—building confidence, discovering their creativity, making friendships and finding a place where they belong.
After 19 years in business, my philosophy remains simple:
Move. Grow. Belong. 💜
