The Northern Torch Hockey team is very excited to announce we are back for another week of focused skill development and on-ice action in Owen Sound from July 15th to 19th. Led by a team of experienced professional and collegiate coaches, our camp is tailored for players aged 8-14 looking to enhance their hockey abilities.

Throughout the week, players will engage in a comprehensive training program covering essential skills such as skating, puck handling, and game strategy. From dynamic flow drills to specialized sessions in power skating and wall play, our coaches will provide personalized instruction to help each player improve.

New for this year, we’re introducing specialized goalie coaching to ensure that aspiring netminders receive the attention they need to excel. With extended full-day sessions running from 9am to 5pm, players will have ample time to immerse themselves in the game and refine their skills.

At Northern Torch Hockey Camp, our focus is on skill development and fostering a passion for the sport in a supportive environment. Join us for a week of hard work, camaraderie, and fun on the ice.

My name is Jakob Lee and I will be Camp Director at Northern Torch Hockey. I am a Division 1 hockey player with professional hockey goals from Owen Sound who has graduated through Owen Sound Attack and Grey Bruce Highlanders Minor hockey organizations. I have been lucky enough to be coached and mentored by some amazing people who have helped me tremendously and I wouldn’t have been able to forward my hockey career without them. Additionally, I have learned valuable lessons and skills through the ebbs and flows of minor, junior, and college hockey that I’m excited to share with the next generation of hockey players in the area. I am especially looking forward to building relationships with talented and committed local athletes to help them pursue their athletic goals and dreams.

Beyond excited for the announcement of Northern Torch hockey and cant wait to get going this summer.

Hello everybody, we are super excited to announce that Northern Torch is expanding! We will be running hockey camps in Owen Sound starting Summer of 2023. Coached by NCAA Division 1, OHL, and Canadian University hockey players and coaches, we are committed to equipping dedicated and committed athletes with the tools needed to advance to the next level. Northern Torch was built on the belief of passing the torch to the next generation, and we are thrilled to bring those same values to the hockey world.
