The bats came alive with home runs from Steve Barrett, Greg Slater and Adam Shaver, as your Baysox marched to a 15-5 over the Ivy Rangers.

5:00pm Friday night will kick off the event with some guest speakers and first pitch to fly shortly after.

It will be your Owen Sound Baysox taking on the Kincardine Cubs to start the weekend's action!

The Owen Sound Baysox will host their first annual Bailey Durocher Memorial Tournament June 5-7 at Tom Williams Park in Owen Sound.

The four-team tournament features the host Baysox, the New Lowell Knights, Kincardine Cubs and Woodslee Orioles. It is being played in memory of Baysox player Bailey Durocher who was tragically killed in a traffic collision in June 2022 at the age of 24.

Before the opening game Friday, there will be a presentation dedicating the new scoreboard, followed by a ceremonial first pitch.

Action begins Friday at 5 p.m., when Owen Sound faces Kincardine, followed by a 7:30 p.m. game between New Lowell and Woodslee.

Play continues Saturday with Owen Sound taking on Woodslee at 10:30 a.m., followed by New Lowell versus Kincardine at 1 p.m. Owen Sound meets New Lowell at 3:30 p.m., and Kincardine faces Woodslee at 6 p.m.

The third and fourth place teams will play Sunday at 11 a.m., with the championship game between the first and second place teams set for 2 p.m.

In addition to baseball, there will be a beer garden on site. Live music is scheduled for Saturday evening from 8 to 10 p.m.
