Welcome New Head Coach: Jamie Hill
Jamie brings a dynamic mix of elite playing and international coaching experience to the Western Prairie Junior Klipppers!
She played three impactful seasons at the University of Main Black Bears. Before joining UMaine, Jamie developed through Saskatchewan’s elite pathways, playing for the Hounds at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame and representing Team Saskatchewan at the 1998 Canada Winter Games in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. During her minor hockey years, she skated with the Assiniboia Chiefs, Avonlea Eagles, and Lafleche Flyers, earning Western Shield medals in three consecutive seasons: bronze, gold, and silver with the Eagles.
Following her collegiate career, Jamie competed across North America and Europe. She played in the Swiss PFWL for the Romanshorn Women. Back in Canada, she suited up for the Saskatchewan Prairie Ice (NWHL) and the Telus Lightning (CWHL).
Her transition to coaching began overseas with a year in Swiss minor hockey before moving up to the Swiss Women’s Pro League (PFWL), first as an assistant and later as head coach, leading her team to a national championship. During her time abroad, Jamie also earned her IIHF coaching certification and contributed to the development of athletes with the Swiss National Team.
Upon returning to Canada, Jamie took on an assistant coaching role with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns (U SPORTS). Now in Saskatoon, she brings her passion, international experience, and proven leadership to the Jr A Female (U22) where she is focused on building a strong, competitive culture for the next generation of female hockey players.
