�On Saturday we finished Black Belt Grading shoulder to shoulder, driving through TeWaza as one powerful unit – every stance, every strike, powered by our team and our community.

Black belts aren’t made alone. They’re forged by sweat, discipline, and the people who refuse to let you give up – your partners, your instructors, and the Douvris family behind you.

We are proud of this team, proud of this tradition, and proud of the next generation of leaders rising on these mats.

THE DAY IS HERE! BLACK BELT GRADUATION!

After years of hard work, dedication, perseverance, and countless hours on the mats, 86 students are graduating for their Black Belt and 2nd Degree Black Belt today!

Earning a black belt is about much more than kicks and punches. It represents commitment, discipline, resilience, and the determination to keep going when things get tough. Not everyone starts the journey, and even fewer make it this far. Today, these students have the opportunity to show that all their hard work has paid off.

Remember: A black belt is not the end of the journey—it is proof that you never gave up.

WKC Nationals are officially over, and we are still buzzing with excitement. Team Douvris delivered incredible performances and proved that there is no “I” in team—every result was built on support, hard work, and unity.

Congratulations to Henri on winning his sparring division and earning the title of Canadian National Champion. A big congratulations as well to Aaron for his silver medal in traditional kata, Sensei Oona for her bronze medal in sparring, and Nathan for a strong fourth-place finish.

We are proud to share that all of them have earned spots on Team Canada and will be representing both our dojo and the country at the WKC World Championships in Spain.

Tyler showed great determination and skill, placing solidly in the middle of both his kata and weapons divisions. Every athlete stepped up, supported one another, and represented what true teamwork looks like.

A special thank you to Sensei Una for volunteering her time to judge throughout the entire weekend—giving back to the sport and the team.

We are incredibly proud of everyone who competed. Together, we are stronger.

Congratulations to Aaron on earning a Silver Medal in Men’s Traditional Forms 48+ at WKC Nationals! 🥈🇨🇦

Aaron is now officially part of Team Canada and will proudly represent our dojo, Team Douvris, and Canada at the WKC World Championship in Spain this fall!

Your hard work, dedication, and perseverance are paying off — we are so proud of you.
