We usually choose not to engage in online drama, however after seeing false information continue to spread publicly, we feel it is important to address this directly.
Over the last 24 hours, a former member has made several inaccurate claims about our gym in a local community Facebook group that she also happens to ADMINISTER. Unfortunately, comments from members attempting to defend us or share positive experiences have been removed, creating a very one-sided narrative.
As a small family-run business, this has honestly been incredibly hurtful to witness. We care deeply about our members, our staff, and the community we have built over the year. The suggestion that we would intentionally “hide fees” or mislead people is simply untrue and does not reflect who we are or how we operate.
Every membership agreement is emailed directly to members upon signing, all terms are outlined clearly, and there is a 10-day cancellation period available by law. We have always aimed to be transparent and fair in our processes.
We also feel it is important to clarify that the claims regarding cancellation timelines are false. No cancellation request was made “a week earlier.” When a request was made yesterday, it was processed immediately.
Additionally, during the interaction in question, our staff were subjected to aggressive behaviour including swearing and having a key fob thrown at them , all of which is documented on camera. Despite this, our team remained professional and respectful.
We understand that not every experience will be perfect, and constructive feedback is always welcome. However, spreading misinformation while controlling and deleting opposing comments in a public community group is unfair not only to us, but to the community members being shown only one side.
