🏐🏐🏐PLAYOFFS 2019 INFO🏐🏐🏐

With the passing of our dear friend Hooley’s Pub (F’s in the comments to pay respects), we have a new place for you to stuff your faces with all-you-can-eat wings for just $13.01 and drinks for $5.21…

This year’s GVL Playoffs are presented by Pub 101, who has generously provided the prizes for this year’s winners

1st Prize: $100 gift certificate for Pub 101 + Jägermeister prize pack
2nd Prize: $50 gift certificate for Pub 101
3rd-16th Prize: Pub 101 inexpensive wings and drinks!!

Please get to the beach early, games will start at 7pm SHARP, not Greek time.

To make sure that we’re not lighting court in the finals with cell phone flashes, here’s the format for the playoffs:
-”Hope Volleyball” style rules: each game ends after 17 minutes of play (signalled by a radio announcement) or when one team reaches 21 points first.
-If time runs out before a team reaches 21 points, the team with the most points will be considered the game winner.
-If teams are tied at the end of 17 minutes, one more point is played to decide the winner.
-One game elimination
-Games will start every 20 minutes

The weather is finally cooperating and the NBA playoffs are done so it's time to let the real games begin!

Games will start at 7pm and 8pm, check the cover photo to see when your team plays.

GAMES START NEXT WEEK

Due to this unwelcome cold and windy weather, there will be no official games tonight.

Games will start next week on Monday June 10 when the forecast calls for a more civilized 20+ degrees.

If you or any members of your teammates want to bundle up and get some practice, we will be at the beach setting up some nets at 7pm.

For everyone else, we’ll see you next week!

🏐🏐🏐2019 VOLLEYBALL SZN🏐🏐🏐

Hey Greeks!

It's finally nice enough on most days to put the parka away so it's time for some volleyball! The Greek Volleyball League will be starting up at the beginning of June and registration starts today.

To register, here's what you need to know:

- Each organization is allowed 2 teams (additional teams will be allowed subject to availability)
- Email team roster and captain to [email protected]
- Each team must have 1 fraternity and 1 sorority
- Games will be every Monday at 7pm or 8pm from June until August
- Every team will play every week
- A team fee of $120 per team must be E-tranfered to [email protected] to confirm registration (please indicate team in message)
- The schedule will be released once all 16 teams have been registered

WHAT A SEASON!!!

Thank you to everyone who came out this year and made this summer so much fun.

Thank you especially to all of you who helped set up, tear down, and clean up before and after each night.

One more shoutout to our playoffs sponsor Black Fly for providing the prize for the winning team as well as giving out free samples which we all brought home and enjoyed responsibly.

Black Fly will be at the beach providing FREE SAMPLES as well as supplying the prizes for the winning team – a Black Fly gift basket with beverages+swag AND A $200 PREPAID VISA CARD!!
